Russia Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed a government of Russia decree awarding the State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev a first degree Stolypin medal.
The decree reads the counsellor is presented the award “merits in solving strategic tasks related to the country’s social and economic development”.
The Stolypin Medal is a government of Russia award. It was established at the government of Russia resolution from 26 May 2008 No388, “On a P.A. Stolypin medal”.
XXX International F.I. Shalyapin opera festival commenced
xXX International F.I. Shalyapin opera festival has commenced. It lasts from 1 -17 February, 2012, on the stage of M. Jalil Tatar academic state theatre of opera and ballet. The Shalyapin’s forum is the oldest among existing ones on post –soviet space. There is no opera festival with more long timeline in Russia. The festival has been founded in 1982 on the motherland of outstanding bass singer Fyodor Ivanovich Shalyapin, in Kazan. The initiator of forum’s creation came out director of Tatar opera theatre Raufal Mukhametzyanovâ. In 1985 the festival received a status of all-Russian, in 1991 it transcended to the international level.
“Ural sandugach” festival-contest starts in March
The Permanent mission of the Republic Tatarstan informs that on March 1- 2, 2012 Open Inter-regional festival - competition of performers of Tatar song «Ural sundugach (« Ural nightingale») will take place in the city of Ekaterinburg.
The festival - contest «Ural sundugach simultaneously is a selection round of the International television competition «Tatar mony» , which will pass in the city of Kazan in second half of 2012 for performers from the Perm krai, Kurgan, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk oblasts, Khunty-Mansijsk and Yamal-Nenets autonomous regions.
The jury of festival-contest includes competent experts of Republic Tatarstan.
Chairman of jury - Honored artist of the Russian Federation, Tatarstan people’s artist Salavat Fatkhetdinov.

Presentation of Arnold Nasyrov’s books in WCT
Presentation of the books «On a way to spiritually -ecological civilization …» and «Gallop across Europe» by a well- known scientist from Novosibirsk, the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Arnold Nasyrov took place in a conference hall of Executive committee of the World congress of Tatars
Three saturated working days and two days in journey flew like an instant. The Tinchurin theatre actors by their short presence on a foreign land left an indelible trace as in a history like the most Tatar theatre since these were the first tours of a professional collective in Europe so in the hearts of their compatriots.
Tatars from different corners of the country have gathered to the capital to plunge into the world of the Tatar theatre, to be present at a concert and creative meeting with actors, to communicate with each other in a native language.
Tatar cuisine holiday in Moscow
A Tatar cuisine holiday took place in a large Moscow bookshop with support of Plenipotentiary representation of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation.
Day of Tatar cuisine became the first in the planned train of holidays. Organizers set as the purpose popularisation of interethnic communications in a society and acquaintance with cultural features of the various nations of Russia and the world, attraction of interest to their culture and traditions, education of culinary taste.
Centre of Tatar culture has flung the doors open in Tyumen
Center of Tatar culture has opened in Tyumen. As director of the Center Lilia Karimova told major repairs of the building had begun in 2008, but in connection with crisis it was protracted .« Our Center settles down in a building which is a historical monument of architecture built in 1860. Once it was the house of a merchant Kolmogorov. We moved in 2000, but already then it was not in the best condition. In different years here were the club of sheep -fur factory, cafe-bar, young workers club, therefore repair required to be thorough », - she explained. Building repair has cost almost 100 million roubles.
Plans of Tatar public center of Udmurtia
Session of Tatar public center of Udmurtia took place in Izhevsk. During the session a plan of measures was approved for 1 quarter of current year.
The participants made a decision on holding XXIV plenum council of Udmurtia TPC representatives on February 11 in a conference hall of House of friendship of nations. The plenum will invite the representatives of Tatar nationalities out of newly elected deputies to bodies of legislative assemblies, regional and town Dumas.
The plan of events has been approved for the 1 quarter current year. Among the scheduled measures presentation of a book by writer Yasguf Shafikov «Farewell to Agidel » («Hush, Agydel»), holding Days of Tatar literature dedicated to the jubilees of prominent representatives of creative intelligentsia of Udmurtia Ibrahim Nafikov, Shafika Tajutdinova and Gilfia Iskhakova. Preparation to the holding of festival “Yaz tamchylary” already has started.
Besides, the session participants intend to prepare an address to the candidates to post of RF President and hold a number of measure within Year of History, informs press-center of Tatar public center of Udmurt Republic.
Youth club unites hearts
Recently, on the banks of a romantic Amur river not less romantic event took place. Madina and Airat united their hearts in Khabarovsk Tatar youth club. The wedding appeared to be a real Tatar way: no alcohol, national songs, games and dances. The fiancé and bride decided that a beautiful Muslim wedding clothes and Tatar headwear are more close and native to them than gorgeous wedding dresses and standard business suits.
It is pleasant to conceive that new Muslim family has been borne between the activists of Tatar youth club. This means that Tatar traditions are being revived in the Far East capital. This year one more family is more, Tatar youth club has united the two Muslim families.
Star of Siberia contest starts
Enrolment of Tyumen oblast Congress of Tatars contest participants for «Seber Yoldozy -2012» and «Tatar Yegete -2012» has started. New autos wait for the victors!
These contest are arranged by Tyumen region Congress of Tatars under support of Tyumen region Committee on culture, Committee on matters of nationalities, Tyumen Municipal autonomous institution of culture «Center of Tatar culture»; Tyumen oblast Union of Tatar youth. This is a jubilee fifth year contest and the organizers promise not a few surprises for the participants and spectators!
The purpose of the contests – preserving language, culture, traditions and customs of Tatar people; education of youth in best ethical rules; development of creative capacities and opening of personality potential.
